Further to the other post about Liverpool cream, I thought it may be useful for the OP to see how it worked - I would have found this useful myself so I knew what to expect!! I was quite good with taking pictures because I was emailing them to my vets once a week to look at the changes and to keep an eye on it.
This was the last application of the second course of Liverpool cream and you can see how inflamed his left ear got [compare to his right ear]. You can also see how much tissue it killed to get the whole sarcoid.
You can see where it was on his ear - he was being backed at this time and as the first treatment didn't get rid of it [which was started before the second course of treatment] we had to be very careful not to knock it when putting birdles on and off, and more often than not we put the bridle together on him.
This is what has been left - small crusty bits which are coming away and we can't feel a lump or see a core as was obvious the first time it fell off - you can sort of see where the base of his ear has been made a little larger, but that was going to be inevitable.
Compared to how big the "dead area" got, I'm amazed that it looks relatively normal. As for Bailey, he just wanted a bl**dy good itch on his ear which he hadn't had for the best part of a year!!
