Went to see him, he is lush!!!! He's five years old, only been backed this year. He was bought as a two year old and brought on by the guy who is selling him. The guy does endurance and the horse was bought for his girlfriend, but just as it was ready to start working she smashed her knee in a non-riding accident and now can't ride anymore.
I had a ride on him but it was the guy's endurance saddle and the stirrups were way too long, so I felt a bit of a prat - plus I had forgotton how dreadfully uncomfortable an insufficiently padded Podium saddle can be!!!
Anyhow, we've offered 2300 subject to all being well , as he is cetainly worth the money, and it's been accepted so, tomorrow I am off to pay a deposit and take my ID details down for him to make the contract.
