Would you think a fussy horse would eat a muesli mix or nuts? Miserable mare has gone on a go slow since I added Ride and Relax to her usual Alfa A Lite ration......just thinking she might be better with a cube and she takes sooooo long to eat!

What good things can you add to feed to encourage fussy feeders? It's odd as she guzzels chaff down all summer when you think she'd not be hungry, but come winter she takes forever with the yummy stuff!

Mine is a really fussy feeder and I've tried loads...

I've found that he prefers mix to cubes, it really wet (for some reason) and some cider vinegar (NAF do a good one) helps. However the vet did say that his fuddy eating could be a sign of a small ulcer - as it mainly happens when he's stressed/feed changes/grass changes etc so its worth keeping an eye on...

I'd say nuts. Cant pick out the bits she doesn;t like. Maybe thats why she takes so long, filtering the mix!

My old horse has decided she doen't like chaff any more, so just has nuts and sugar beet.
