It really takes the p*** TBH.
Got to the yard early this morning, partof the yard had flooded, and the fields had standing water on them which meant couldn't put G and A out for a bit in their little pens.
G soon realised this and got narky, banging the door and pulling faces when we went past. A haynet soon sorted that out though.
Did all the mucking out, filled a load of haynets, where the hay then flew across the yard causing a bit of a mess
The wind died down a fair bit so decided to lunge A, tacked her up, and went to open the gate in the school. Opened the latch, and then the wind blew and caught my finger between the gate and the fence which has left my index finger throbbing
And then when I'd finally got A going nicely on the lunge, the end of the whip blew up in the wind and caught me on the face
Which left me tangled in the lunge line and amber a few meters closer!!
Decided to get on as the wind wasn't too bad, but abou 15 minutes into the riding, it began to wet it down and the wind picked up leaving me with A's head in the air after I'd got her working long and low
and my face has dried and my lip has split a bit.
Finished it pretty soon after that with aches and pains, and then I tripped over into a puddle, soaking part of my knee and hand
Don't think today was my day. I'm just hoping the weather next week will be better!
Anybody else found the weather a struggle to handle?
