Took ickle Flickle to the vets tonight.

Vet: Oooh thats a nasty bruise - has she been loose on the road to come into contact with traffic? (!!!!!)

Me: no way

Vet: has she been loose with horses to get kicked? (equally !!!)

Me: no way to that too

Vet: well, dont know what it is, looks like a blow injury, here is a rimadyl injection and tablets for 3 days and thats £34 please :o

Oh well, I suppose if I hadnt taken her I would have worried :o She is much brighter in herself tonight, so it should all clear up over the next few days.

Guess I wont be eating much this month :D:D

:( Sorry Gazey. See my last reply to the other thread.
I'm not squeamish so it wasn't the actual bruising that made me feel queazy it was more the fact it looked so severe I wasn't happy with my original answer to you of 'oh she'll be fine' incase she wasn't. I would have taken her for a check over if she was mine so it didn't feel right to tell you otherwise!
Glad she has the all clear.
Will send food parcels! :p :D

PMSL I am trying to think what on earth that could be now :D I shall get my mum to get me some rimadyl for future use, sod all this paying a consultation fee every time :p :D

Oooh ouch poor Flick. I do wonder sometimes how they manage to damage themselves when doing absolutely nothing....or so they would have us believe.
Hope she's back to her normal self before too long GH.

I'm really not that squeamish about blood, as long as it stays inside the veins, arteries etc. where it is supposed be, I don't even usually have any problem with bruises, it is only when the blood doesn't stay where it should, by making too large bruises or perhaps even leaves the body completely, that I do become, sort of, squeamish about blood.

And poor Flick really did need the vet, she got a Rimadyl injection and tablets after all and will now be able to spend the next days pain free. I just wish that it cost a little bit less to go to the vet.

{{{{{{Vibes}}}}}} for Flicks bruise.

P.s. Next time you come home Gazehound, and they try to pretend as if they've slept all the time you've been gone...

Whoops, sorry, as I was another who suggested vet. But as you say, at least you aren't worrying about her now, and if the vet felt the need to give her a rimadyl injection he must have thought she was quite sore. Hope she's soon feeling comfier.

LOL - the vet wasnt going to give anything MM, I had to suggest the Rimadyl :D But still, it was worth it for the results it gave despite my whinging :) :)
