Gahhhhh bots

Bring back the rain! My poor ponies have been attacked by bots today. I feel very guilty as by the dried sweat on them it looks like they have been bothered by them all day. Just spent hours removing bot eggs with the knife. Seenbottles of bot egg removed in my tack shop? Anyone know if this works? Scared that using the knife will give my horses bald spots! lol

Luckily we rarely get them, but I do sympathise with you. have you tried the Nettex Bot remover, I've heard it's good.

Haven't had the special 'gahhhhh' bots, only the normal ones...this one-up-manship is going too far

Charlie has been attacked by bot eggs today. I tend not to use a bot knife, but my fingernails instead. I have found through experience that bot egg remover/preventer does not work.

But if you use your fingernails...is there not a danger that you'll swallow them and get bot larvae too?
