Gallium nitrate for navicular?

Someone at my yard mentioned this yesterday. I've googled it and found a few discussions on farrier websites. Anyone on here used it or know anyone who has?

Ive never heard of it. How bad is the navicular?

Mine was sound in 9 weeks 4 days with no gallium nitrate in his vicinity at any time. So were all the other barefoot rehab cases I know of, give or take a month or two - why would you want it?
