Gallop rugs

I had two pony rugs and they were true to size. The only problem I had was they slip round a bit. Mine were turnouts though, an under blanket might be better. I found it cost me more in the long run as I had to buy better ones that didn't move.

Ok Thanks- It will only be under his turn out so not too worried about slipping, Its hard! Im usually a rug snob but having to cut back a lot at the moment so am trying out cheaper sorts!

I've tried a couple of Gallop rugs due to the price and unfortunately not a fan. I had a lightweight, a fleece and a combo waffle for my cob, and my friend got the fleece and combo waffle for her warmblood...

Rugs didn't fit either horse well at all, always slipping, gaping or rubbing. No-one else who tried them on other horses in case they fit wanted to keep them either :(

On the basis that they were for under rugs etc I kept the fleece & waffle but they were forever slipping etc, and the seams on both, on both horses, went very quickly...

I'm now a Shires convert - Shires and Weatherbeeta fit my lad really well, but I can't stomach the price for Weatherbeeta! If you check on the internet, you can get some good bargains for Shires, and their budget range has lasted me really well too :)

Ah, not so convincing!
Mine is a tiddly TB so if they are big on a warm bloods shoulder they may well not be the best for him. Might stick with a duvet under his rug when it gets colder?!
