Yes and yes for wide horses :)

I have one for my Freisian and it fits perfectly. It’s not the most generous in length so if you are inbetween sizes,
go up rather than down.

There was a recent thread on here about them.

I wouldn't say they're overly generous in their fit tbh. Material felt decent quality but didn't actually use the rug so can't comment on how they actually perform / how long lasting they are. I did have a few issues sending the rug back when it didn't fit as they don't come with a returns form & there isn't one readily available on their website. You have to email to request one. Due to an email error on their side it took about 10 days (& messaging on Facebook) to obtain said form. To be fair they did arrange free collection as an apology although this took about 5 days to sort out & they have refunded in full.

Had been debating ordering in the next size up as they also gave me a discount code but worried in case that doesn't fit either (can't decide if it's just that the rug shape isn't generous enough in neck & shoulders to ever work without rug swamping him everywhere else as length was spot on or if going a size up might give just enough more room without it looking ridiculous) & is awkward to send back again. This is for a Highland with fairly large neck but actually not as wide in the chest as some of his breed. I would say go at least one size up from normal if yours has a big chest as the issue I had is it was tight across the chest (it would do up but would almost certainly have rubbed & been uncomfortable)

Thanks all-if you measure him he is a 5’9 but generally I buy him 6fts. I’d be reluctant to go for a 6’3 if it’s going to drag back on his bum or not fit well around the neck-which is what weatherbeeta do on him. ?

I’d go for 6ft then if he’s only just 6ft. They aren’t that small, just a little.

Any good? Very wide across chest Fell pony with massive shoulder-I usually use Shires Highlanders but want a 50g plus the Gallop is 1200D.
Yes it fitted my large shouldered previous WB Bailey and fits very good on no shouldered new horse Lari too. They are very good rugs, I have the 50g and I love the fit and the price!

Yes and yes. Not only good for wide chests, have them on tb types too.
Yes I agree, they are extremely versatile, the 50g Trojan fitted my large shouldered previous WB Bailey and fits very good on no shouldered new WB horse Lari too. I like that they are quite deep too although I notice that more on Lari than I did on Bails.

I love Gallops, use them all the time. Don't buy the ones which are dark blue with little flecks of red and white in them, that colour is not waterproof in any way. As far as I know it was made only in the version with clips on the front not standard buckled straps.

Ooh I love mine too! I have a 6'3" no fill for year-round use and I've just bought a new 1200 denier Trojan 100g. The new one is 6'6" to keep his bottom snuggly warm and stop the rain getting in....I've been really impressed with it, it fits well (mine has enormous shoulders too) and doesn't move around at all. I paid about £55 for it (they were on offer) and it was a bargain. There's plenty of room for adjustment in the chest too. They fit much better than the more expensive rugs he came with when I bought him.

That’s quite impressive RC-that was some rain we had last night!

He was as dry as a bone everywhere except his Neck and shoulder where the rain had run down under the rug as it was just a standard neck but I wasn’t concerned about that I was more concerned that it would have leaked Along his back but no not at all definitely going to buy more of these as he gets bigger totally worth the money.
