Looks like I may have to give up one of my favourite summer pastimes of spending a few hours at BE events :( My dog is fine watching DR and SJ, but just cannot cope with horses galloping by in the XC. I try to make sure I'm not too close to the horses, but she goes absolutely loopy even to the extent of biting at her lead to try and get free!

Do you think she'll eventually get used to it or should I just accept that she can't cope, bless her!

I'd keep her at home, it sounds like it is massively stressing her out/winding her up.
You could try proofing her but it will need your undivided attention and it won't look pretty if you need to give her a strong lead correction, not something you want to be doing at what is supposed a fun day out.

If she is food or ball motivated you could work at really building up distractions, starting at the home, out and about, down the yard, to small events etc.

Yeah was trying the watch me, sit etc with treats, she did respond albeit very briefly!

She used to react in a similar way to rabbits and squirrels when I first got her, but has improved tremendously. So was hoping that other people may have had favourable reports on their dogs improving :)

Suspect she may have been a townie dog previously given her initial reaction to walks in the country.
