I am a jumps member at Newbury and went to the pre Gold Cup gallops day at Newbury yesterday. A membership perk!
33 horses took part from 8 separate trainers.
Constitution Hill was among them and it was absolutely astounding when Nico pushed the button, the acceleration was gobsmacking!! He looked magnificent. ❤️❤️
Another bonus was one of my syndicate horses was also there. 👍
The downside it was absolutely freezing 🥶 despite a knee length down coat, woolly hat and gloves I did not thaw 🥶 until about 4 in the afternoon.
The cold really annoyed my back as well ☹️

Sorry did not take any but Racing Post published loads.

Constitution Hill is such a stunner. I hope his fear of hurdles can be overcome. If that’s what it is.
Nicky Henderson gave a talk after the gallops had finished. He was very honest and up front about Constitution Hill's ups and downs. He said it was a huge surprise when CH had those falls as his very correct and efficient hurdling had been part of his spectacular success.

A couple of years ago I went to a yard visit courtesy of Owners Group to Seven Burrows. At the end of the visit NH paraded Jonbon, the late Shishkin and CH. Jonbon was hotter than hot and did one circuit of the trot circle with 2 handlers, Shishkin was much more laid back but still on his toes. CH was a complete dope on a rope completely laid back and happily grazed paying zero attention to the 50 plus people in a circle around him.

Another video from the gallops morning (I have not watched it but it popped up)

There are other Racing Post interviews from other trainers with horses "galloping" on Tuesday linked with this interview.

Olly Murphy 6 horses.
Paul Nicholls 5 horses.
Nicky Henderson 6 horses.
Chris Gordon. 2 horses.
