Garden Shredders

Thinking of shredding my own paper bedding, but with the household shredders this would take years. Has anyone used a garden shredder and if so what is the results, would it be suitable to put paper through for bedding???????

Why dont you see if you can get a 2nd hand office shredder of ebay, I think a grden shredder might over do it a bit and give you a pile of dust. Im curious now off to look on ebay...

I wouldn't recommend it, I was able to take home shredded stuff from work and it turned into a nightmare as it was lighter than the paper we get in bales and wound around neddies feet and blew everywhere, I then used it in my chickens house and they had a party with it too and it went all over my garden, thinking back it was very funny really but I wouldn't go there again.

Actually youve reminded me i used to shred newspaper on the quiet at work and it wound up round everything as well. One of the cross shredders may work but worth experimenting before you shell out
