Is this available? it should be! mine was lame cos he done nothing but eat and has put extra pounds on causing his lameness in front foot! apart from wiring his mouth shut wat can i do! he ate his muzzle, yes he ATE it! he goes through electric fencing! does anyone else have this problem??!

Can I sign mine up for it too please!!!!???? Really struggling with Bodey’s (the coloured in my sig) diet. He needs a bit of hard feed for energy as he is ridden quite a lot and I compete, but on poor grazing. Don’t know what else to do, lipo maybe!? At least he is cheap to keep I suppose.

How about fitting him with a pedometer and making him do his 12,000 steps a day?

I feel your pain. We're just coming into weight battling season.

I usually end up with him stabled all day 4 or 5 days a week and out at night topped off with working hard. Three lots of schooling for an hour each week, one lunge session and two hacks plus competing at least once a month.

I have the same problem at the end of summer you are practically doing the splits when you ride him he is that wide. He only looks at a bag of food and puts weight on lol

Daisy is the official poster girl for dieting cobs. I've managed to get her so thin now that you can actually see her ribs in some lights when she's being lunged. If you click on the link below they use her to advertise NAF Slimline if you scroll down the page.

Its taken me three years of ownership to work out how to get her this thin.

- Give lots of hay because it keeps the gut moving and actually increases the metabolism. make sure you soak it first for at least 12 hours and it removes all the calories.

- If you can't keep them off the good grazing at least bring them in during the day and only turn out at night because there is less sugar then.

- Dengie Good Doer is the lowest calorie feed you can buy, actually has less calories than hay I'm told. Feed a small amount to carry a vitamin supplement which will keep their body in good order and help keep the metabolism healthy.

- feed NAF slimline as your vit supplement. It really works!

Instead of giving a feed to add the vitamins and minerals to, go for the pellated balancer. They are palateble and easy to feed and you won't be supplying extra calories.

I have a Clydesdale who is now at the age that instead of growing upwards she's growing outwards. Fortunately I have access to absolute rubbish grazing so can allow her to be out 24/7 and keep to a reespectable weight.

Ooh, so glad I saw this, thank you OP

Little Cob was kn*ckered on our hack the other day due to having been out on grass for two days

, and Little Lad is laminitic (but is currently the right weight). Am trying to balance the Dizzy one that needs grass, and LC and LL who need some but not too much; also want some company for foalie who is in the little paddock having got a bit carried away jumping a stile (the stile was no problem, but the hole in the ground on the landing side caused an issue).

LL jst goes for a hack most days, but LC has to work so needs some buzz as well. Head hurts!
