Can gastric ulcers affect the way a horse moves? The reason I ask is that my horse is currently being investigated for a hind limb gait abnormality - but my vet can't pin point the reason. He has also started making faces when being saddled but my vet is certain there are no back problems apparent?

A stab in the dark, but the horse does crib and has recently taken up windsucking too so was wondering if he had painful ulcers could this affect the way he moves?

Anyhow, vet is coming back nect week for further investigations so watch this space...

Thanks for reading!

Yes it definately affects the way they move if the ulcers are bad. Nutriscience Gastro Care definately helps with this, it maintains the normal gut acidity.
