Does anyone have any experience of feeding Simple System Feeds to an ulcer-prone horse?

I currently feed mine a small amount of Happy Hoof with Bailey's Lo Cal Balancer and Equitop Pronutrin- as a preventative for ulcers. (He's a really good doer and lives out). After reading some recent threads, I'm considering changing to something like Simple Feeds as I'm a bit concerned about the straw and molasses content of Happpy Hoof. Do they do a low calorie chaff? How about a balancer? I suppose I could switch to a vitamin and mineral supplement instead. I like the idea of their 'brix'.

I feed SS to my TB who windsucks, although vet doesn't think he has ulcers. Anyway he is doing very well on it. They do a couple of different balancers depending on the type of horse.I like the fact that you know what you are getting with their food. (Not all the food companies will tell you exactly whats in their food. )The chaff I give mine has no molasses etc. in it. I understand from others not all horses will eat it especially those that are used to mixes with molasses in them but my boy always eats his up. You do have to soak some of their feeds for up to 12 hrs which is a bit of a pain but you just have to alter your routine accordingly.
Give them a call, I have found them to be very helpful. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the replies.

I called them today and they were really helpful. Products sound great and just right for my horse. Just disappointed about stockists and delivery though. Apparently, they won't let two tack shops within a 15 mile radius of each other stock it. Don't really fancy driving 10 miles for a bag of feed and would feel uneasy about getting it delivered on a monthly basis incase I ran out and couldn't get any more locally.
