we think my horse has Gastric Ulcers, we had the vet try to scope him but the vet couldnt get the scope up my horses nose as he had a bad nose bleed. We are now treating him for ulcers without a scope to see if he improves. i am wanting help on what i should feed and do as this is the first time i have had a horse with gastric ulcers. Thanks !

To prevent gastric ulcers and cure existing cases you should understand the digestive system of the horse and how it works.

Horses have evolved into an animal that is a walking, eating machine and nothing we have done to horses, so far, has altered this.

However, the way horses are managed in general, kept in stables, or cages a more appropreate term, in my view, and fed meals like dogs and rarely getting the opportunity to move as they were designed too, it is little wonder so many problems occur.
