She first had vomiting we went to the vet, fever, so treated with injection antivomit and sulcrafato made by merck, a sachet 2x day, aquarius drink little and often, but syringed as she wouldn't drink.
Next day vet, vomit and bad runny poo, vet, same again, plus protein injection?
Yesterday bit better, but very bad tum, overnight, poos darker but still liquid.
Going to vet now, what else could it be, we are in spain, she has been checked for protozoa, parasites etc, should I push for x ray, wait it out, any ideas? She has lost so much weight, but vet says mainly dehydration.... very very worried, any suggestions?

Was the mother vaccinated? Is the pup vaccinated and against"what"?Such a wee one to be ill,has it by any chance been able to snack on anything?Has the pup been exposed to other dogs or been out ,parks, streets etc.Why not worm with Drontal or equivilant, then pehaps very light diet, boiled white rice, four feeds a day, forgot to ask is the pup looking for or eating food or lethargic?Talk to your vets.

Has she been vaccinated? If yes and recently then it could be a reaction to the vaccine. If not then it could be parvo. I would want the vet to keep her in to keep an eye on her and put her on a drip. I don't think x-rays are likely so show much.

Good luck!

thanks, we have her on a drip now, all vaccinations done and dusted, she is just such baby, although she is so big. We aim to do a litre over 24 hours, then vet all day monday. Thanks. Fingers crossed.

it could be a mild case of parvo.

You know when a dog or puppy has parvo, blood in the poo and it stinks, like nothing you've smelt before. Knocks the dog completely sideways! Literally.

Not read the other posts but just to let you know on the Parvo train of thought again that even innoculated dogs and puppies can get ill with Parvo, it just doesn't hit them so hard so to speak.
