Gastrogard results?

how quickly after giving gastrogard did you all see an improvement?

my gelding was on it about 5 years ago and it took a long time for him to get over the pain memory.

I've just started him on it again, following a couple of yard moves in 6 months (back to the old yard now) and he's been really reactive around his tummy! but after just a few days on it he seems a lot less pee'd off with being groomed etc. but can't believe it would kick in after only a couple of tubes!

An improvement after only a few days is not uncommon.

The effect is usually pretty quick as it inhibits the stomach acid, have you had him scoped to check what type of ulcers etc and where they are? I assume you are doing it under veterinary guidance? X

Hey, thank you! yes we're under the vet but we did not scope this time, as insurance would not cover it, so I've had to make the decision to treat and see whether it helps before we look at scoping again! I found previously that they were likely caused by travelling so if I don't have to travel him for scoping, I'd be happy! He's already seeming much happier in himself, so hopefully it's doing the job we'd hoped for.
