Me and mum got there on the saturday and I casually walked past WFP as he rode past me (what do you do?! smile and acknowledge them and therefore starstruck? or ignore them as if its normal and you havent seen them). Angela was there the whole day because the other rider on their yard was competing too, so she had plenty of time for nerves! She ended up doing a fantastic dressage test for Phillippa, much more relaxed than usual, although Angela did forget the test once! She got a fabulous 36.2 - which Angela was amazed and chuffed with! She then had an unlucky pole down in the SJ, but most people were having faults so it wasn't too bad. The cross country was on the sunday and some of the few fences I saw were soooo scary! The corners were massive and were on a difficult angle. However, Phil took it all in her stride and went clear. Time was difficult, I don't think anyone went inside. Angela ended up with about 22 I think, may have been 25. Anyway, she came 5th!!!!!!!!!!! No prize or prize money, which was disappointing for Intermediate level 5th place, but Angela was more chuffed at her placing and didn't seem to care! Onwards and upwards I think!

Bit stingy not getting anything! Well done to her tho, sounds like Phil is back where she was before

Fabulous, well done A and P.
Im just home from a very good day from Gatcombe too. Shall let MdeM fill you all in but have to say, she had one of the fastest times of the day without even trying lol

The sjing caused awful problems and time was indeed difficult to get on the xc.

Well done!! Friend was 5th in the OI at Witton yesterday nd got no prize money, I think thats really really poor, especially at Intermediate level.

Nearly! JT nearly had a ducking with King of the Catwalk after a super dressage and clear SJing.
Gutted springs to mind.

Fab result for Angela. Shame about no prizemoney at 5th as Int entries are not exactly cheap.

Very well done!!!

that is a bit bad re. the prize money tho!! i always knew it was bad, but i didn't think it was that bad.. people complain about the prizes at PN/intro level, but atleast you get 'something' which is better than nothing!!

Well done excellent result. Did you query the prize money. They should give a money prize to 1 in every 6 starters. Although only 20 completed in your section 27 started and therefore money should go to 5th. I would double check as it is £100+ and not to be sniffed at!
