Had great day at Gatcombe today.
Had a bit of a confidence knock after a terrible jumping session on Wednesday where I couldn't see any sort of a stride. I had very bad back and think it was affecting me more than I thought.

Got to Gatcombe today and had a bit of a panic about the size of the showjumping, even though I know it is always quite big there! Normally wouldn't be worried but with the previous session being such a disaster it did make me a bit nervous!

Did a fairly average test - was at 9.12 and it was still quite slippery and didn't feel I could 'ride' it as much as I wanted. Pleased with her though and scored 39.5.

SJ was actually very good - had another day where score doesn't reflect the way she went! Had 3 down again - so unlucky! I didn't make the related distance and put in an extra stride and was too deep really and she just went a bit green through treble and had first and last parts down. Still very pleased with her!

Going on xc was fantastic, had a great run clear with 6.4 time penalties. She was awesome as ever! Just went a bit green at the water, but otherwise didn't look at anything.

Am so pleased with her! Have some pics and video clips which will put in gallery later!

Anyone else have a report - carthorse? Saw you doing dressage but was looking out for you to showjump but didn't see you! How did you go?

only have Charlton Park and Aldon left now. Am doing PN at Charlton and Aldon PN3DE to give her some fun and take some of the pressure off her as it's her first season and she has worked so hard and not let me down so I want to make sure she has a couple of enjoyable runs to finish the season...although now I want to change my entry at Charlton to novice, but I'm going to resist the temptation!

Considering this time last year she was trotting over poles and 1 ft cross poles she's totally exceeded my expectations so she'll have a couple of easier runs and then a holiday.

To put your mind at rest, Charlton Novice is pretty meaty! Well done and good luck for the rest of your runs this season.

I know it is - is my local event. Still want to do it! I'm going to be sensible though!
