I've got an AI run tomorrow at Gatcombe but considering the amount of rain that's fallen across the country today I am a little concerned about the ground conditions. Also there were a hell of a lot of horses that didn't finish XC today - were they withdrawn due to the ground?

I was there today - they obviously had rain overnight although it didn't rain too much in the day. The course was starting to cut up a bit - but the intermediate wasn't that bad as hadn't had as many round it. Don't know about those not finishing though - when I left they seemed to be getting round fine. Put a few pics in the picture gallery - you can see a little bit what the ground looks.

I was there today, they were making a real effort to move the showjumps to better ground etc. It was quite cut up but did seem to ride fairly well.

The xc wasn't too bad at all - as has already been said, the intermediate has been the least used track so was pretty good.

The showjumping track was getting a bit cut up but apparently they are going to move the track for tomorrow. The cross country was quite slippery and getting a bit cut up in a few places but not too holding... Not sure how much rain we are due tomorrow though

If it helps my mare hates slippy or sticky and although I walked the SJ in wellies and could not stand she jumped fantastic out of a slightly stronger canter, the ground seemed to be taking the rain esp on the XC I was nearly last to go in the 1* and my demise was nothing to do with the the ground which was fab and all the jump stewards were tredding in

Ground was lovely on the XC, a bit cut up in places but felt it was good under foot in most bits

It was the SJ warm up and ring which was the worst, they were moving some of the fences round in the arena

Good luck!
