I know some peps on here have this hat! Mine has just arrived today

Sadly I feel it is a tad big, My last hat was 2.5 I ordered the 2 & it feels a tad big, gaps up the side of my head like it is very circular in shape?? Though when I tried it on with my hair plaited (as I usually have it for riding) then it did feel a bit firmer.
Now what I am wondering is do I try the 1.5? Or will that be too small?

When I tried them in a shop the smallest they had was a 2.5 & i nearly drowned in it!

Have asked them that if I order the 1.5 to try then I can send back which ever isn't suitable though am thinking it may be both not suitable for my head shape

They said that it was fine to do that.

Also does the padding bed down at all or a lot in them??

i have found they fit my head and my head is a really wierd shape as it is very round...i cant fit champion as they are oval shaped...try on the 1.5 though you never know it may fit!

Hooray....I'm not the only one with an oval head

!! I had one and it was really tight, felt like it was too round for my head. Had to get rid of it in the end after a nasty fall, replaced with a Charles Owen J3 (??I think), very comfortable. If its not right then try a different make.
I even tried a HS1 last summer at Gatcombe, in the hope that it would fit as I really like the idea of the SNELL safety std, the sales man said that they had made changes to the design...not to the shape tho!!!

Well it sounds like it is the shape that is wrong for me :-(
Oh well looks like I shall try the 1.5 & then end up sending both back & going for the Champion!
Typical when I got it with 20% off!! Sod's law! Knew it would be too good to be true!

Oi you copycat!

I just got one from our local feed supplier and mine fits really well. That's a bu**er that it doesn't suit your head shape but the Champion is a really nice hat too.

(Ps. still can't upload any software to be able to get the camcorder stuff posted. Any suggestions? It's a JVC GZ-MC500E.)

Must of changed it's shape with me having landed on it so many time!!

Shall have a look & scrat head on the video side! Shall get back to you on that!

They don't fit either Bee or I either. We both have oval heads and the HS1 is square.

I have the champion and have an oval head, the J3 doesnt fit me either, so the HSi must be a different shape again! Love my champion vent air though

Cheers looks like it is the champion vent air that I will have to get! Oh well on the plus side it is a tad cheaper!!

Thistle, so I've got a square head have I?! OH was v amused when I tried it on, he thought it looked like an old-fashioned motorbike helmet!

I ordered a size 1 which I think measures 55. It is very snug. My GPA hat is a 1 1/2 which I think measures 56 & my Charles Owen crash hat is a 54, so I figured the HS1 being a 55 may fit. It is very snug but I know my other 2 hats fit better after wearing.

I think you will struggle to get a 1 1/2 at the minute, I couldn't get one for love nor money.

See it is bad that theinsurance company has given me some of the money for the fire it is burning (no pun intendded!!) a hole in my pockets!!

There are some GD breeches on Ebay at the moment - sorry, I mustn't encourage you to spend!

Mind they haven't given me enough for M though he is off the transfer list! Mind I doubt they would be impressed with me if I spent it on him & left the burnt room as it is!!
