Those are the people who have been asking about Bud my pointer who has been diagnosed with a not so nice condition that altered his life completely and his ability to run or even manage a walk when he got to his worst point, he has been out for a walk and 2 runs:eek:......and he was able to enjoy hunting today and was pointing like his life depended on and and went for a swim:eek::D

I have been near to nervous break down when he was at his worst, and was struggling to eat and swallow and lost alot of weight, but we are there I think, he is finally stable.

Thanx for all the vibes guys:)

OMG for some reason I thought you were going to say the opposite there  but that is FANTASTIC news, I am sooooo pleased for you and Bud :D:D:D:D:D

GO BUD!!!!

But he also deserves a sound telling off for putting you through all that stress :D - although hey, maybe not just yet, it is brilliant to hear he is enjoying life again :):):):)

Thanx guys, it was very hard watching him deteriorate and if I had not stuck to my guns, I fear he may not be here today, he is still a grumpy little Barsteward:rolleyes: no gratitude there:D

Lol Gazey remember me saying in not posting no more cos I am jinxed, as the last time I did he went down hill.......fingers crossed he wont, but he has been on a few walks, and he has even pinched some dry food and he has no problems digesting it without choaking and salavating.

Your package will be with u next week:rolleyes:

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Go Bud! Well done Cayla for sticking to your guns and doing your best by him, I'm so pleased it's paid off. :D
This post has lightened my mood for the day, I'm jolly cross that I'm meant to be showing the dog right now but OH is in bed with a hangover, Floras with him in bed snoring (minus the hangover). Now I'm really happy that Bud is doing so well and care far less about missing the show! :) :) :)

So glad that Bud has turned a corner and things are looking up for him:). What a lucky boy he is to have such a dedicated mom,,, I'm sure he agrees in a grumpy-type-of way:D (I have an elderly gelding who is happy to be grumpy - he is the Victor Meldew of the horse world:rolleyes:).

Thanx everyone....he is fine today after the swim yesterday:)
Lol Vizzy.....glad I cheered u up, I would however have dragged him out of the bed, hurling and spewing:rolleyes::D

Phew - that is so good to hear.
I too didn't like to ask and didn't mention before that I nursed my old Dalmation through very similar sounding symptoms to how you described - Megaoesophegus being the hardest to deal with as it's just so distressing trying to keep food down them.

Sadly, Murph didn't pull through but had a lot of complications that he wasn't strong enough to fight.

So Yay for Bud, you must be over the moon with him, looking forward to seeing pics when he's back to his best :)

Mollichop...Im sorry to hear that:( the feed routine is an odd one now...no more dry food, food rolled into balls, standing on back legs whislt eating:eek: but it's working:D

Good point Hen:rolleyes::D

Thanx everyone....he is fine today after the swim yesterday:)
