I know it's a little premature, but coming off the Europeans and Madrid (and a very successful Burghley) but what do you think Team GB's chances are for medals in the equestrian disciplines?
Here are my thoughts:
- Pure Dressage - we have a strong team here (as shown in the Europeans) but can't be complacent - the Germans will want to make a point here
- SJ - it's been a while since we had such strength/depth from both a rider and horse perspective but we were lucky in Madrid in that the Dutch basically handed us the bronze
- Eventing - again, assuming nothing horrible happens between now and then, we have the horses and riders and I suspect that the team will want to prove themselves after the Europeans but I'm not sure the x-country course will suit our horses - fingers crossed
- Vaulting - very well positioned here . . . should do well - expect at least bronze (with the usual caveat of barring a disaster)
- Driving - no clue
- Endurance - no clue
What have I missed and what do you think?
Also - who would you like to see on the teams (horses and riders)?
