this may seem a bit daft but we live in a lovley rural village, next door neighbours have chickens, ducks and a large pond.because of this they appear to have been adopted by a flock of canada geese that have now bred for the last few years.they appear friendly but are now spending time in our garden and adjoining horses field.horses dont appear upset by them but keeping an eye on them but they are filthy and leaving huge goose poohs eveywhere.i understand that they are wild birds and are not really the responsibility of neighbours and can obviously fly and go where they want but am worried that their mess will affect horses grazing as its being rested at the moment. am i being silly or do i have anything to worry about. some of you must have geese on yards ,farms etc

There was always huge flocks off Canada geese in two of the fields siding a lake where i used to work, they never used to cause any problems with the ponies, but they did eat a lot of grass!

My neighbour had the same problem. I know it sounds horrible and I thought it WAS a horrible thing to do, but they shot them. There was a large group of them and they spent all day terrorising his own ducks and geese and then poo'ing on his lawn.
