gel pads

Hi, i use a prolite pad for my horse, just for added comfort. He certainly seems happy with it and i know they're quite popular. i think the gel pads are more weighty than the prolite (which weigh almost nothing at all really) and thats why i chose a prolite over a gel pad.
hope that helps!!

I have both the above.I found the Stephens pad to be better as it is alot lighter.Hope that helps.

I have a gel pad, it came with one of the horses, was used as insurance for a very heavy rider and seemed to do the trick; actually have a numnah it fits into if that makes sense. It's going spare if anyone wants them.

i have a couple but i dont like them, they are very heavy. i have a korrector saddle pad which inflates with air which i prefer now

I prefer pads as the gel allows an unnatural movement of the saddle, which can cause back problems. Limpit and impact pads are very very effective and dispearse weight well. I got several impact pads on ebay, they are great as ou cut the to size if you want, keep the back warm and wick moisture away from it and sadlles DO NOT move with them!!!
