In breeding as well....

Potential purchase of a 9 mth old Spanish colt is being marred by the fact owner has just advised he's still retaining his testicles. No great worry health wise as I know it can take a while for balls to drop ......

But, plan was that he comes home to me, settles in for a week or so, is gelded, left four weeks and then turned out in the mixed age / sex herd that my 2 fillies live in.

Bless him he's a bit shy, lives with a filly now and to date hasn't shown a blind bit of interest - he's a real poppet, but with spring in the air I'm just not prepared to run the risk of any little accidents by turning him out as is!

Does anyone know any studs / yards in the Bishops Stortford / Stansted / Braintree Area that could accommodate the little chap until he can have 'em whipped off. He's too good an opportunity to turn down just because of this.

Whilst asking can anyone recommend the best vets in the area to take on the gelding, having only had mares for 18 years I'm out of touch!

Thanks in advance
