Gelding - rig like behaviour

When a gelding gets difficult when mares are around but vet says he is not a rig and seems to be no other explanation. He rears and naps - any ideas? Anyone else have problems with their gelding and can they be given anything to help?

you say the vet says he isnt, but have you had his blood etc tested and confirmed?

Mine did the same and the vet said no real chance, we got a different vet out (but from the same practice) and had a test and he was one! We had a few apologetic phone calls from the vets that said no lol. If you are worried then get one done. Also if people start complaing or saying he's acting like one you then have proof to say he isnt if it comes back negative

We had one that was like that - he wasn't cut til he was 6 adn we always put it down to that!

mine can be like this- not rearing etc. just very protectice and herds them round etc. i reckon he was cut late... but i would get yours checked!
