Gemsie - how's your horse today?

Hi JRT,

Thanks for thinking of us, he was ok this morning but was a bit colicy again tonight so have given him some finidine under vets orders - and now he is nice and quiet.

I have decided to give him a whirl on gastroguard - even though its mega expensive and ulcers have not been diagnosed with a scope (which I cant do for him a the moment for various reasons) I figure its worth a try and my vets agree - and I should see an improvement in a day or two if ulcers are the problem.

Thanks again for thinking of us, I will keep you posted with progress.

Hi Gem, I went to a talk on stomache ulcers on Wednesday night and it was amazing just how many horses suffer from it. Gastrogard is what they recommended, so hopefully this will sort out your boy's problems.

I am on holiday next week but will be thinking of you. I will be keeping my fingers crossed my chap has no episodes while I'm away!!
