Im lowering my tb's hard feed intake a bit over the summer and in a few weeks she will be living out 24-7 untill sept.

Last year i decided as she is having less hard feed but still competing id give her a general supplement- i gave her CLOP.

I dont want to have to be buying an expensive one but a good general all round one.

So can anyone reccommend a all round supplement that wont break the bank? preferably one that lasts and doesnt need to feed in huge amounts.

Hi
I would recommend equivite original for a good all round supplement. Surelimb is designed for breeding stock and those in intense work, but I'm not sure to what level you compete at, so it maybe suitable.

I also recommend equivite- excellent and not made from fish so very palletable. If you get it in the big tubs it works out very cheap too. Some horses don't like the taste of benevit and codlivine so becareful with those if he is a bit fussy (but as he ate clop you'll probably be fine!)

The Feelgood 30 Everyday Vitamins and Minerals is excellent and about £7.50 a tub. I only feed half the recommended quantity, just as a 'top up' as my horse still has some hard feed, and it lasts ages.
