Hi all, just after some general feeding advice as I'm not sure I'm on the right lines.
I have always fed my thoroughbred baileys no 4 and Dengie hi fi lite chaff. He has added salt, brewers yeast and turmeric with ad lib hay. But he has now retired and is only hacking around twice a week just to keep him sane. Is there anything I should be changing or anything which would suit him better? He maintains his weight well and doesn't lose too much in winter.
I also have a Welsh who is 4 next month, he is on ad-lib hay mixed with straw and just gets a hand full of the baileys no 4 in his ball to keep him quiet at feed time.
Is there anything different that I could be doing that would benefit them or anything that I am missing out? I know it's a very general question but I just wonder because I am still feeding the same as I was when he was working a fair bit more but just less quantity.
Thankyou for any advice.
