General purpose or a jumping saddle for hunting?

It depends on what you prefer to jump in. Some people even hunt in a VSD, all about comfort and personal taste. What you want to avoid is a close contact jump saddle with thin panels with a small surface area - there are jumping saddles that are suitable for hunting ie riding for several hours, which will have wider, deeper and softer panels which may also mean a slightly wider rear seat. Some may be classed as a forward cut GP, or perhaps a "GPJ".
