General wondering..

Im hopefully buying a 13 year old Cob and i was wondering if he would be okay for endurance..
I admit i know pretty much nothing about it but would like to take part in the future. How would i train him up to it?

I did it on a 14hh connie cross and its great fun! My mare loved it, sadly she is too old now (28) but if she was younger I'd still be doing it!
