I just wondered if this would be possible? To rig up some solarium lights to a generator? I'm trying to set up a wash room and solarium, but we have no mains power at the yard. I've sourced a battery powered washer which I can use with heated water, so the solarium is the next challenge.

Depending on the power of your generator you could probably run a couple of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kennel-Heater-Puppy-Litter-Dog-Heat-Lamp-Infra-Red-/290396277045

Do be aware of the petrol that will be needed and have some spare just in case

The generator would need to be quite powerful and will also most likely be noisy which will advertise its presence to surrounding people so storing it securely is a must

I would be interested to hear more about the battery operated shower please!

Having a battery powered washer is fine but how, without power, are you going to get the heated water..... gas?

It would be possible to run solarium lights with a generator, you can get generators powerful enough to run anything. The only thing limiting you would be the amount you're prepared to spend. You need to know how many bulbs you will need to power, add up their wattage & then buy a generator that will kick out enough watts to to power them.

I'd talk to someone at thepowersite http://thepowersite.co.uk/ i've phoned a couple of times with problems and they've always advised something for the job, even if they don't sell it!
