...to all those who have wished her a speedy recovery after yesterday's scare.
I was rather worried when I arrived at the yard this morning, but she is definately better in herself. She argued with me when I did her nose and cream after telling me off for arriving at the yard at the stupidly late time of 7.45am (I know, how very late and neglectful of me!). She spent the day in what is known as the 'bull pen' (that's what it used to be) with water and a haynet, letting everyone know just how annoyed she was with the arrangement when there are perfectly suitable fields that one could be in.
We eventually got her to eat the antibiotics and danilon although it took a few hours, a slightly worrying time on my part as I thought 'oh goodness she's not going to eat them!'. Her temperature has been up and down all day and I have been to the yard 4 times to see to her today. I have also spoken to my wonderful vet (seriously, she was with us within 5 minutes yesterday!) who recommended some light exercise (so she did a short gentle lunging session) and told me not to worry unless her temperature got back up to 103F.
So... messages from Genie....
My nose is rather sore but better than it was...
I still have these swellings all over my face - some small ones visible here below my eye - and they are spoiling my hollywood looks.
And I am NOT happy with the accommodation! I do not WANT 5-Star, I want to go camping! NOW!
One last note from me - thanks everyone - your support has really been appreciated.
