Hate to have to post this one but this is genuine sent to my dad by his local policeman.

on Wed night the police had a call from a resident saying they were concerned about a red landcruiser towing a horse trailer parked up about 7.30pm 2 men were photographing horses in a nearby field.

The registration B16 RBB is the same as the landcruiser being seen elsewhere. Lincolnshire police have also had reports elsewhere in the county and have information linking it to a Lincolnshire criminal.

However the following evening in the same place it was seen again this time by an off duty policeman. There were 3-5 people inside and when it was obvious it had been spotted it made off travelling very fast through the woods on a fairly rough track.

This was just outside Lincoln, I have copies of the email which have more details from the Policeman who informed my Dad to verify this so please be vigalent. Fortunatley this time they were distrubed and nothing has been stolen but its to close for comfort.

If you see this vehicle the instructions are to call Lincolnshire Police on 01522 882222 or if appropriate ie the vehicle is stationary near horses 999 but do not approach the vehicle the police have reason to believe they may use violence to get away.

Have been in touch with Lincolnshire police regards horse things and they know of nothing. 5 horses were supoosed to have been stolen from the village where we keep ours. None were stolen.
There has been a news item on the radio which sounds real in Grimsby, Immingham and Caister. I am trying to find out facts at present. Sounds more real being on the radio. Radio presenter gone out at mo. I am not very patient sometimes.
Rumours are not helping at all.

Just to update the original post is correct. I have spoke to the police in Lincoln and the officer/email address is right. I have forwarded a copy of the email to the officer for verification it has not been altered. The happening was at Sudbrook.
If i am able to send a pm - it is playing up i will pm a copy of email from the police as it says to send to interested parties.

Where are you from? You can pm me if you prefer. Mine is playing up so may not be able to reply. I could give you first reports if need be - if anything that is. To be honest i get lost a lot and often park up near fields to look at the map or stretch my legs and say hello to any horses that appear. I wonder if its me everyone is panicking about lol

I can confirm that this is not a hoax as the red land cruiser was seen at the gate of my field, Two men were seen photographing the horses. The following evening it was seen at the field again, by an off duty police officer, the vehicle was disturbed and left via a back entrance.
THIS IS NOT A HOAX as it was my horse they were photographing and i would not want to spread rumors as i know how much worry it has caused me.

Please look out for this vehicle and if it is seen in Lincolnshire please call 01522 882222

It is not a hoax that they were photographing horses? I'm sure it wasn't; but have they broken the law?? NO! I know you are worried but I'm sure the police are doing everything they can. These so called 'Eastern European Horse Thieves' haven't actually stolen a horse yet(as far as I'm aware) and they'd be damn stupid to do it now as I'm sure the whole of the UK police force is on to them.
