I have first hand experience....avoid!!
Try Ellie at the Bespoke Saddle company 07889 890824 she has been fab with our lad. He has been diagnosed with navicular & sacroiliac problem but we have to work him for 3 weeks before going back to vets for more tests.
The saddle I had fitted for him is narrow (not fitted by Geoff Dean but another master saddler) my boy is actually a medium wide fit!! I had queried the fit right from the start and the saddler got cross with me a told me he was the one who had done all the training and was therefore the expert!!
I went to a talk by Ellie and was really impressed by her and some of the symptoms she described with a poorly fitting saddle was exactly what my boy was displaying. She checked my friends saddle and that was ok then when she looked at mine, she said there was no way it fitted!!
Rather than push me to buy another saddle, she said it was unethical for her to sell me another until we know if our lad is going to be able to work at all. Therefore I have borrowed one from a friend for the time being.
If he is able to work, I will be using Ellie. I have another saddle from my old pony and it's too wide for our lad but Ellie said we can get another tree fitted to it if I like (£150) or I can buy another it's upto me.
It is so refreshing to meet someone like her. I rang her a few weeks after her first visit and just said my name and she immediately knew who I was and asked how my palomino horse was doing.
I have always been a number to the other saddlers and I was really impressed that she remembered me instantly.
She comes highly recommended from quite a few people in our pony club and I have not heard any bad comments about her and believe me, I have been asking around after my last two disastrous saddle fitters!!
