Eurodressage report

One of the great horsemen and dressage trainers of the modern age has died. Condolences to his family and connections. He really was one of the best.

If anyone is interested, there was a fantastic article about his training and riding philosophy published a while ago, I think it is a fitting tribute to a true horseman.

Ive read the bottom article before, but this comment always makes me laugh!

[ QUOTE ]
At Athens I was not allowed to work with a whip from the ground in the warm up, so I took out my handkerchief, and waved it in rhythm, the horse responded as if I had my whip. The steward came running over and said, you must not use a whip! Where is the whip? I asked.

[/ QUOTE ]

Its such a shame, he truely was an amazing inspiration to the dressage community.

My thoughts go out to his friends and family
