After our good day at our first affiliated dressage outing on Friday we also had an opportunity to go xc on Sunday. As we don't have transport we take the opportunities when we can
So, George and I went to Stratford Hills yesterday to have a go at their clear round xc. I've never been there before and it was like my first taster of a 'proper' xc course, substantial looking fences and lots of hills
! I decided to do the smallest jumps (2-2ft 3),but you could pick and choose the height at each set of jumps. There were also a couple I thought I would probably miss out as v scary looking
Well, in the end we jumped everything including 3 of the 2ft 6 options and went clear
I was absolutely thrilled to bits and it really felt like a proper run on an xc course
Enough rambling some pics from the official photographer who was of course stationed at the smallest jump on course (honest ) - I have to say the sheer joy on George's face says it all!
Click on the link for the first off mine and scroll through, think there are 5-6 of us.
