I'm currently looking for a new show jumping youngster and am considering importing from abroad since the GBP is so strong against the euro at the moment. (I am looking in the UK too though as I know we have a lot of british bred horses in the UK too before I get tonnes of people advocating sticking to the UK). Has anyone got any recommendations of studs on the continent or in Ireland to contact / visit? Or UK based agents to use?

I bought a dressage youngster from a small stud in Germany, the quality of youngstock they had was excellent from top sires out of state premium mares - and the prices were very reasonable (will be even better now with the weak Euro). It's called Hof Emke and is near Cloppenburg. I'd suggest emailing in the first instance as it's a family business but only the son speaks English.
