German show jumping teams

For Dublin the same as hicksted except some bloke called ludger something or another replacing the not so good girl. and i hear shutterfly is not going to the europeans. meredith rides checkmate. Also in is marcus ehning on Plot Blue and Carsten Otto Nagel on his rather fab mare coradina (sp). the last member is escaping me, but be good if someone german can confirm, i will be most disappointed not to see shutterfly.

Members of the German showjumping team in Windsor will be: Marcus Ehning (Plot Blue, Leconte or Noltes Küchengirl), Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Shutterfly or Checkmate), Thomas Mühlbauer (Asti Spumante) and Carsten-Otto Nagel (Corradina). As reserve riders are named: Marco Kutscher (Cash or Cornet Obolensky) and Philipp Weishaupt (Souvenir).
The German “alpha wolf” Ludger Beerbaum would have been no team-member despite his re-appointment to the national squad - Beerbaum does not want to take his young mare Gotha already to championships and Coupe de Coeur is not yet fit again after his fall in Balve.
The German dressage team is not yet fixed - right now, only the longlist was published. There are mentioned: Nadine Capellmann / Elvis, Heike Kemmer /Bonparte, Carola Kopplemann / Le Bo or Insterburg TSF, Suanne Lebek / Potomac, Matthias-Alexander Rath / Sterntaler-Unicef, Hubertus Schmidt / Donnelly, Ellen Schulten-Baumer / Donatha S and Monica Theodorescu / Whisper. The decision about the team will be taken after the international show in Verden beginning of August.

Thanks Pippi pony. Marcus Ehning told me on Sunday he takes Plot Blue unless injured though. Good to see Shutterfly still on the list although several people in Rio thought he isnt going. Marco Kutshcers horses both jumped great in Rio, pity he isnt in for certain.

Official is, Shutterfly won’t go to WEG next year, as the rider- and saddle changing obv. drove him nuts at Aachen 2006. Unofficial is, a lot of people think Shutterfly could use a break just now as well.
