Wasnt going to post about this but getting a bit desperate now, hence post.
The horse we have on loan is wanted back by owners as their horse has gone lame and is out of action for a while. We had already decided that he would prob be going back as was originally got for a teenager who hasnt been over to ride him but things have moved sooner with the owners horse going lame. I have been searching for another horse for the last few months but can not find anything. I need to find something else before he goes back as it will leave my boy on his own which I really dont want to do as not fair on him. The owners are understanding of this but obviously we would all like to get things sorted out.
So, if anyone knows of something that fits into the below criteria, please could they shout.
15.3hh + up to weight gelding, age not an issue (by that I mean older, not youngster) mainly wanted for 2 mature ladies to hack on (maybe odd school session or local show), MUST be good to handle on the ground as both ladies have arthritis in their hands and cant hang onto anything playing around anymore but they arent so bothered by what it does under saddle. Also must be good with other horses as will be going out with my boy. Limited budget.
We are prepared to travel (went up to York a few weeks ago) but work commitments mean that we only have every other weekend. Have looked on Horsemart, Horsequest, Adtrader, Adhorse and Horsehunter but they are either not up to weight or sold before we can go and see them.
So any help would be very very much appreciated as will stop me stressing! Or any recommendations for decent dealers.
