Am thinking of getting a drawing (from a photo) of the horse I loan and giving it to the owners for Christmas - thought it would be better to go down the thoughtful route as they're rather wealthy and cover all costs for me so my measly Xmas budget wouldn't stretch to something else suitable I doubt!

I'm pretty sure there's a few of you artists on here (I admire you all so much, wish I could draw!) and theres others who will have had pics done, so can anyone recommend someone/yourself and give me an idea of pricing?

I got 2 drawings done as presents by MadHector on here and they were fantastic.

Highly recommend; she really captured the horses and "got" them if that makes sense!

Another vote for Papafrita.

She has done two for me, so far...!

My Mum spent pretty much the whole Of Xmas crying over the picture she did of our dearly departed pooch! It was amazing! (the picture, not that she cried so much, haha!)

Papafrita, she is amazing!! She is very good at pencil drawings and she has just done a massive acrylic painting of one of my boys.

I have my dogs portrait hanging above the fire at home and they are so faithfully recaptured that it still gives me a lump in the throat looking into their eyes. I also have horse portraits which get a WOW even from non horsey people. The Lady who painted them is Judy Goodman and was based in Tunbridge Wells at the time. Her link is www.judygoodman.co.uk
