Getting an arthritic pony back into work

A lady I know has asked me to get her 13.3hh fell pony back into work after being diagnosed with arthritic pasterns in both forelimbs. I just want to know what to do with her, how often and how long for please? Vet said NO schooling or jumping just hacking. But didn't give an exercise plan. Any ideas?

Remedial shoeing can help. But if the vet advises no schooling etc then realistically you are left with hacking, most likely in a straight line and in walk only. Why does the owner want her back in work?
