Some advice needed peeps! :)

Am trying to get some extra condition on Magic as he seems to have become a little lean over his ribs. He's filling out everywhere else (shoulders, back and hindquarters) just not over the rib area.
I'm currently feeding him Alfa A Oil, Alfa Beet and Spillers High Fibre cubes plus SuperFlex for his joints and a tbsp of salt. He's having the recommended rate split between two feeds.

I can't feed him more than twice a day at the moment as I am working and live too far away to be able to fit in stables, school run and work. I'm moving in about 10 days so will be just down the road from the stables, I can then increase his feeds to three times a day.
I have to be careful with what I feed him as he has had a laminitic attack in the past (approx 18 months ago-toxin related) so can't feed anything high in starch. He's also on ad lib haylage when stabled (never, ever runs out!) and I'm also feeding haylage when they are turned out as the grass is very slow coming through.
I've been feeding this combination for a couple of months now but he just doesn't gain anything over his ribs and it's doing my head in. :(
His worming is up to date, and he had his teeth done in Feb. Can anyone recommend a safe cube I can use instead of the High Fibre cube? They seem to be for maintenance rather than gaining condition. Any other suggestions will be gratefully received. Thankies :D

How old is he? If hes a veteran they can take longer to gain weight because their digestive system isnt as efficient.

I would stick with your current feeds and increase the no of feeds in ten days, so he is getting more if he really needs it. Its not the end of the world if hes a bit lean coming out of winter and it has been a hard winter. If hes really thin then feed 3x day, otherwise dont worry as he will pick up when the grass comes through and with laminitics they are better on the light side.
