My JRT is 6 months old now and I'm wondering if she's not a bit lonely as we have no other dogs and when she see's other dogs she is desperate to play. What is a good age to introduce a new puppy or would she be fine now. We have her house training pretty much sorted and she would be well supervised and she has a very sweet nature. Thoughts please. It would prob be another JRT x

I generally leave a good year or two between getting a new puppy, so I wouldn't get another just yet if I was you.

I find it difficult to believe that a 6 month old puppy is lonely

. They are usually having tonnes of fun and playing all the time at this age.

The GS on the farm was a little lonely at 6 months - so a little friend was purchased for her.

Made the world of difference to her, and they are great friends.

Totally agree with Tia, wouldn't get another puppy just yet, you could end up with all sorts of problems. All pups want to play whenever they see other dogs ... it's what pups do best. .Two pups to train at one time is very hard work, I would leave at least 2 years gap.
