new doggie that have I been posting about is doing well except she doesn't wee before she goes to bed and then wees indoors in the night !
We have a morning walk and a 2.30 - 3 one where we meet a doggie group and she will have a wee then, but I cannot get her to wee again despite standing out in the garden trying to encourage her. She gets a last round the block walk but has to circle round and round before she will wee so wont wee out on the lead. Any ideas, we have been outside tonight in the cold for half an hour and she doesn't get it. All other bitches I have had would wee easily .
Don't want her getting into the habit of peeing indoors. I always praise her when she wees out. Any tips gratefully received.

Could you clip a long light line on so she doesn't feel 'on lead' but you can grab or stand on it so she doesn't bog off?

If she's been kept for breeding she's probably used to going wherever so it won't be fixed overnight. As I said on other thread it took me about two or three weeks to get Mr Grey to go in the garden, he wasn't used to it in his previous home.

Could you just leave her to it in the garden or increase your distance? She might feel you standing over her/near her as pressure.

Can you get another dog to wee in the garden then have her on a long line and go and be near that area, don't speak to her or look at her, if she is sniffing just wait if she is doing nothing just very slowly walk back and forth past that area.
I would stop the ways and just take her out and do this until she starts to 'perform' in that place.
The her out every 20 mins or so for a few mins, she only has to pee there once for her to get the message.

Thanks I will try suggestions, last night she weed at 3 in the afternoon then went through the night still 5 am, so has a cast iron bladder when she wants to !

I am far from an expert, and is a really long time since I house trained a dog. We got Aled at 10.5, so he was good as gold, and when we got Luna as a pup, it did seem to just fall into place. What we did do though was, every time she went to the toilet in the garden or on a walk, was make a big fuss and say “wee wee”, didn’t matter if it was a wee or a poo. Now before bed, I always say “want to go wee wees” and they will go straight in the garden and then run upstairs to bed.
