We have had a total of about 14inches of snow here and none of the horses at the yard can go out now because we can't open the gates  College has been shut all week so I have been sat at home bored out of my mind. The roads are obviously icy/snowy so I can't ride my moped so I have to ask my parents for a lift everywhere. My dad works nights so takes the pickup when he goes to work so then we can't go anywhere after 6. All my friends live quite far away so I can't even go and see them! And worst of all I can't ride the horse!
Sorry, as if you haven't heard enough about snow lately, rant over :p

Shall we swap? We have no snow at all so I am having to schlep to work every day. I would actually kill somebody for a snow day about now!!

Well the snow here is above my knee height in the fields i have had to dig the gates out to open them and the farmer next to us has had to plough the road for us to get up it, i have pulled a muscle in my groin and walking through the deep snow is bringing tears to my eyes, snow is now starting to drift.

I have even brought the natives in tonight as it is drifting so badly and the babies had a lay down and a sleep straight away bless them must be tiring work in this weather ha ha.
I wish you were here i could do with a hand i could cure your boredom as i have 10 to look after on my own and the snow is dire here i am praying for a thaw.

Poor you TF! That must be horrible :( The deepest stuff here just comes over the top of my Dubarrys but we have managed to shift most of it at the yard. There are 18 on the yard, I brought 3 in yesterday and I was pooped :p So 10 on your own must be terrible, I've got my fingers crossed that it will thaw out asap for you, try and take it a bit easier til then :)

God didnt want to sound so desperate it is awful here in Northumberland but i am hoping the trudging around will make me lose weight, but when the natives are getting sick of it enough is enough.

I am also starting to worry if it doesnt thaw until after xmas i will need another hay delivery and worried how i will get it here, my son is loving it though schools closed for a week.

Wasnt being nasty when i said wish you were here would love someone to help out and as for having to rely on parents i have my own car but if the weather continues i will have to get a lift in my dads landrover just like being back at school at my age:eek:

Chin up to OP things can only get better i hope.
