My 2 yr old is kept by some busy 40mph roads and near a village, I'm leading inhand around the fields next to road and standing watching traffic with her at the tjunction at the gate for now. Is it best I start walking her out now, the younger the better with a nanny horse?

How do you cope being near busy roads and getting youngsters out and about?

My 2 year old will be going out with one of our older horses on the outside of her. It helps that we have a single track drive so my mum has driven past her on it several times, do you have anything like that where you can drive past her in a safe place?
Q

Yep she's had lots of cars, caravans, tractors, motorbikes you name it etc driven past her whilst I've led her past on the farm so I feel confident on that aspect. Funnily enough the only time she flips is when she sees an unknown horse and rider and then she gets excited calling and dancing about lol! I was going to wait until next year but obviously I want to get her as confident as possible without rushing things though. Sounds good getting a horse on the outside of her then I can lead from the left, I do lead from both sides but I feel more comfortable on the left.
