Lambs!
We have 2 lambs staying on the yard for hand raising and every horse is fine with them except Taz. They have been here for over a week now and he still insists on galloping past the stable they are in a a hundred miles an hour while snorting. Now i am very patient with Taz as he is a bit of a dope but he has in fact lived with sheep, lambs, goats, cows, you name it he has probably lived with it but he just cannot get over these lambs! This morning i walked him over to the stable to actually see whats in there and with loads of persuasion we got him to look in and see whats in the stable which then turned into him snorting, striking out and then trying to take off dragging me with him.
We have tried having a horse that doesnt care lead past them and he still tries to run me over on his way past them. he has seen them out on the yard when they are out and that doesnt bother him too much but when he hears them calling he grows another few hands and trembles.
in all honesty i cant see why he finds them so terrifying
i cant even avoid going past them as its the last stable which leads out of the yard.
so any ideas or am i just going to have to deal with it until they are weaned?
oh yeah just to mention there are 4 sheep who live at the yard which he is fine with and speak to on a regular basis so i really dont see the issue
